With Gratitude, Matt
Gratitude—the profound sense of thankfulness—often emerges from recognizing the blessings, privileges, or serendipities life bestows. While a diagnosis like cancer is rarely seen as a cause for gratitude, Matt Moran felt otherwise. His battle with kidney cancer inspired him to launch this podcast in 2020, a platform where life lessons, faith, and resilience shine through adversity. Every episode shares stories of hope and determination, revealing how gratitude can guide us through life’s toughest challenges. Following Matt’s passing in 2023, his older brother, Bill, stepped in to continue the mission, ensuring the podcast remains a beacon of inspiration. Together, the Moran brothers’ legacy encourages us all to embrace life’s journey with faith, hope, and a grateful heart.

My Cancer Story, with Matt Moran
It’s easy to feel invincible especially in the early years of our lives and especially when you are healthy, strong and thriving. But cancer and so many other diseases are unpredictable on when and who they pick. March is Kidney Cancer Awareness Month, bringing attention to the 68,000 new kidney cancer cases and 14,000 deaths that will hit in the United States alone this year, making it the 6th most common cancer among men. Join Matt as he shares many of the personal details of his kidney cancer journey and the many gifts that the disease has brought to his life, including gratitude, new habits, and a mission to help others. All of this positivity and growth stems from Matt’s choice to not be beaten but to be built up by this disease. He is taking this new strength, support and fight to help lead a charge to bring in more funding for kidney cancer research. If you feel like you are in a place to help, please click on Matt’s funding page and donate to the cause. Many thanks for your consideration. Enjoy this special With Gratitude Matt episode.
